I don't remember anyone submitting a corresponding bug report for KMail. 
It's possible that a POP3 connection times out more early with KMail 
than with Mozilla. But it's a pretty lame excuse to tell someone that 
he shouldn't use KMail just because their POP3 server sometimes doesn't 
respond for several minutes.

Anyway, please submit an appropriate bug report so that we can have a 
look at this problem. Please note that we will probably need a test 
account.
