Console in Konsole?

Good day,
I'm a fairly recent convert to KDE and I must say that I've been quite happy
so far. I've only found one thing that I haven't been able to do: display the
system console messages in Konsole, like what you get with a `xterm -c` or
using xconsole. My desire to use Konsole for this task is so that I can
display the console messages in a transparent window. On my past WMs, I've
been able to use Eterm or aterm to accomplish this. I could use one of those
again I suppose, however I would prefer to use Konsole as it's better
integrated with the rest of the system. If it makes a difference, I'm using
KDE 2.2.2 and Konsole 1.0.2 on Mandrake-Linux 8.2, however I'm looking to
upgrade to KDE 3.0 in the near future.

Thanks in advance!
Terry
