KDE appearance...

I am personally running kde 3.0.1 with slackware 8.1rc1 and I have
never installed extra fonts on my system. Maybe im blind but I find all
the fonts to be good looking on the default install of kde 3x

When i was using slackware 8.0 and kde 2.2.2 I did try installing on the
fonts from Windows 2000 Pro but did not notice any real difference in
apperance. So i found this a waste of time/space for me.

I have turned anti aliasing fonts on before and it just makes things
look worse IMHO (i really must be blind after reading other posts) All
my font sizes changed and I never got them back to looking decent after
putting it on so i ended up rm -rf .kde/ and starting over. Just my 0.2$
worth.
