Store by Last Name in Address Book

It seems to be that in KDE 2.2.2 I was able to save entries in the address 
book by the last name. I lost that ability in 3.0 and still can't do it in 
3.0.1. Does anyone have an idea why this is? Am I missing some configuration 
option?
