KDE 3 right click menus ...

This usually occurs when there are multiple menu entries which is just a
configuration issue.

You can just Remove the redundant entries.  Chose: "Edit File Types".

There appears to be a bug that occurs if you have the same application
both in "General" and "Embedding".
