Well, Konqueror is running on the remote machine regardless on where its 
window is.
All URLs beginning with file:/ are of course local to the process.
If you want to access files on the, from konquerors point of view, remote 
machine (lets call it machine1) , you have to use a remote URL.

I suggest using kio_fish (url fish://user@machine1/).
Needs ssh.
You open another konqueror on the machine, point ti to fish://user@machine1/ 
and now whatever you drag upon it will end up on your local machine.
