Hmm, sorry, don't know.
If no significant changes where made to kdelibs it should work.
You can compile KMail seperately. I think this si a FAQ item.
AFAIK you have to compile some mime stuff and libkdenetwork before you can
compile KMail, but you don't have to compile the whole package.
