The bells and whistles of arts are interesting, but honestly, it sucks.
I simply can't use arts, as my poorly developed sound driver (aureal vortex 
8820) can't handle it. arts is the _only_ sound software I cannot run 
(freeamp, xmms, mpeg123, esd, wine, xine), but that means I cannot use _any_ 
of the increasing software that relies on it.

ALSA does not support this card neither, but that is at least understandable.
