Large file copies using too much CPU time

Hi:
I have the same problem with artsd!. In many of my desktop users (RH 7.2 +
KD3.0), somethimes when they run some proccess (like OpenOffice) the sound
server upload the CPU.
The only effective solutions I found still now is KILL the server (or wait a
long time until Kicker or something do'it for me).
Any clues?
