Kmail inbox

I connect using IMAP to my network server froma couple of workstations. With 
Outlook, everything is fine, but with kmail, I don't get an inbox. My mail 
spool is the standard /var/spool/mail/user and I am using a standard Redhat 
7.2 install. Kmail is installed on my laptop which has Redhat 7.3.
