knotes doesn't display the notes when I start KDE 3.0.1

Hi to all,
I remember that with KDE2 I was able to open up a note and it did not
disappear if I log out and log in again. Now with KDE3.0.1 I'm forced to
start up the notes manually... Is this correct or is possible to reconfigure
this nice feature again?
