KDE Konsole application does not persist

Hello to all,

I am using RedHat 7.2. Whenever I log on as user and try opening the Konsole, it appears momentarily then disappears. Whenever I log on as root and try opening Konsole, it opens normally. Could these symptoms indicate improperly set permissions, or something else?
Any advice would be welcome, thanks.
