Kde help error

Hi Everybody. 
    i am using kde 2.2.2 on a solaris/sparc platform.
kde is running beautifully. but i have a small problem
with the kde help. when i try to access help of any
software using Help -> Contents, I get a message
saying 

     Could not start process
     Unable to start io_slave:
     klauncher said: Error loading 'kio_help'.

Am I missing something here. I have varified that
lib/kde2/kio_help.so is in my LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
