Hi

I don't know if I am posting to the right list. If I am not, please correct me
:)

I have a feature request for KDE 3.1. I know it is a little late, but all
things considered I don't know if doing this is too difficult. This is
something I saw in WinXP. The icons on the background text gets "shaded". The
text is written first with a darker colour (with I think a little blur effect
thrown in) and then on top of that the same text is written again in a
lighter colour. The effect of this is that on _any_ desktop background the
text is completely readable because of the resulting contrast.

I tried to do this myself, but I'm not good enought with c++ yet to scratch
any itch that pops up.

regards
p!
