problems with keys

Hi!

[KDE 3.0.1, SuSE 8.0]

I'm using a German keyboard and am sometimes experiencing problems with 
certain keys. In JBuilder6, for example, I sometimes (not always) get a "y 
with two dots on it" when I hit <delete>, and in the texteditor nedit the 
cursor keys suddenly don't work any more (just the ones on the numeric key 
pad).
Any Ideas?
