[compile] Compile error on kdebase 3.0.5 (ld on kxt.o in /nsplugins/viewer)?

I'm getting a whole bunch of compile errors while compiling kdebase
3.0.5 on RH7.2. All of the errors before the make terminates seem to
be due to references to qt in kxt.o. The following is the list of
errors from the last screen before the make terminates.

kxt.o(.text+0x20e): undefined reference to 'qt_np_cascade_event_handler'
kxt.o: In function 'np_set_timer(int)';
kxt.o(.text+0x223): undefined reference to 'qt_np_timerid'
kxt.o(.text+0x23a): undefined reference to 'qt_np_timeout(void *, void
*)'
kxt.o(.text+0x250): undefined reference to 'qt_np_timerid'
kxt.o: In function 'np_do_timers(void *, void *)'
kxt.o(.text+0x25f): undefined reference to 'qt_np_timerid'
kxt.o(.text+0x268): undefined reference to 'qt_activate_timers(void)'
kxt.o: In function 'KXtApplication::init(void)'
kxt.o(.text+0x499): undefined reference to 'qt_np_add_timeoutcb(void (*)
(void *, void *))'
kxt.o(.text+0x4a5): undefined reference to 'qt_np_add_timer_setter(void
(*)(int))'
kxt.o(.text+0x4b1): undefined reference to 'qt_np_add_event_proc(void
(*)(_XEvent *))'
kxt.o(.text+0x4ba): undefined reference to 'qt_np_count'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

What is the problem, and what should I do? Also, is there anyway to
not have to recompile the completed meinproc commands? Those slow the
compile down considerably (several hours on one meinproc command on my
Athlon XP 1600+)
