Aspell / Ispell does not run under KDE 3.0

With KDE 3.0, whenever I try to run Ispell or Aspell, i get the following:

"ISpell/Aspell could not be started. Please make sure you have ISpell or
Aspell properly configured and in your path."

Aspell and Ispell run correctly from the command line.

Any hints?
