Problem upgrading to KDE 3.0 from KDE 2.1

I did so, and system is working. But I need to use --force and --nodeps 
switches with rpm. Anyway more problems like this apperars f.g. kppp does not 
working at all. To many so missing even ther're there but in wrong version.
