Hi!
The first set of errors basically mean that if you uninstall the packages (the 
rpm -e ... thing) kdbg will stop working. So you better remove it by using 
(rpm -e kdbg - it is just a debuging tool). 

However the way I installed (and it was the only way it worked on my RH 7.1) 
is to reinstall linux without installing KDE or gnome, then compile qt-3.0.3 
from the sources (the rpms do seem to work), and then install kde3.
