Wallpaper images not displaying

qt-3.0.3 from trolltech source.  Here's my configure:

 -stl \
 -qt-libpng \
 -qt-libjpeg \

 -xft \
 -plugin-imgfmt-mng \
 -xkb
make

So you recommend not using the builtin qt libjpeg?  I'll try a recompile
with that switch and see what happens.
