<table width="100%"> breaks in IE

Hi,

By setting a full width table(<table width="100%">) as the page content on 
kde.org, the layout is broken in IE 5.0, and I think 6.0 as well.

For some reason setting a full width table makes the page two wide, so the 
right side of the page is cut off. No horizontal scroll bars are inserted so 
it's impossible to see the right hand side of the page.

Of course, this works fine in Konq and Mozilla. Can anybody suggest any work 
arounds?
