I know from de kde-promo mailinglist that Frank (www.kde-look.org) isn't very 
keen on hosting a sort of contest because of the problems he had with paying 
for the used bandwitrh by kde-look.org visitors. 

recently he had some sponsors for kde-look.org so I don't know what his opnion 
will be now ... 

Anyway ... nice to see some ideas about 'revamping' the KDE logo.
