Which design we now want to base the further work on ?

Hi,
it would be nice to get first that issue solved ;)
Eric mentioned something about a "quicky right side bar" for newsflash, ...
But atm I want simply to know: 1 or 2 side menu. What we put into the right
side is not of interest atm (it may be a reason to choose 2 side over 1 side)
but before we can'T get consense if we want a 1 side left (right) menu or a
page with 2 menus (or call them 1 menu + 1 x ) on the sides, the menu
structure simply is not a hot topic ;) (That the search box can be moved in
root66 somewhere else should be not a problem, I guess)

It would be nice if we could finally come to an end with that design
disscussion and agree on one of the designs which we than tweak to fully
fullfill our needs. But now to work on xx designs with completly different
concepts just don't that much sense (it is nice to have alternatives, but to
have many alternative but not decission isn't that good). If we agree on one,
I will set it up in kde-www and we can step over to the next parts:
  - coding stuff (fix style sheets, xhtml conform, common functions, menu
stuff, ....)
  - menu structure
  - content review

Any comment on how we can come up with a agreement in the next days ?
(Mean we can vote per mail on kde-www, if you like that and if you don't think
that leads to the next endless disscussion) (with vote I mean mails like: "I
want design xxx (+ perhaps some additional remarks what could be fixed in
that design if it makes it)" but not the next "but I want to have ...." mails
;), think we have enough alternatives to choose between (in
www.kde.org/testing, www.kde.org/testing/modified,
www.kde.org/testing/modified-2, www.kde.org/testing/modified-3 and last but
not least usability.kde.org/newdesign !)

Would it be possible to vote now about that stuff ? (Or don't we want to vote
at all ? But how to made the decission than ?)

cu
Christoph
