the first thing you can do to help, is go to http://bugs.kde.org and search
for these bugs. If they are not known, report them. If they are already
reported in some form, but you have more details, add those to the existing
reports.

There are a number of ways you can dig deeper, depending on your time and
skills:

- Install debug symbols and see if you can get a backtrace for the crashes.
See
http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/KDE_on_Windows/Getting_a_Backtrace_with_DrKonqi
.

- Try selecting a different compiler flavor (e.g. MinGW4 instead of MSVC 2010)
on page 3(?) of the installer (you have to install to a separate folder). See
if you can reproduce the bugs with this compiler.

- Read up on building KDE on Windows from source
(http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started/Build/Windows/emerge) and see if you
can reproduce the bug with KDE 4.9 or "master". Warning: Currently, you are
likely to run into several problems along this way. Don't do this unless you
are pretty tech-savy.

- If you have some software development knowledge, read up on
http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/Debugging_on_MS_Windows
for some Windows-specific tools and techniques.

Regards
Thomas
