for svn+ssh to work with putty you might need the following env var :

SVN_SSH=plink.exe

(or the full path if it's not in the PATH, obviously)

I guess svn+putty takes care of that for you. But I use svn+ssh with putty just fine all over the place, and I actually 
don't even have that env var set. Maybe I adjusted my svn config file instead, don't remember.
