What shell / terminal to use?

If you're on Windows >= Vista (I believe, maybe XP also) you can do the  
following:
cmd.exe > right-click the window icon > properties > set colors, screen  
geometry, etc

For more fonts:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows  
NT\CurrentVersion\Console\TrueTypeFont
There you can add new fonts. just add an extra 0 for every new font, so  
you will get: 0, 00, 000, 0000, etc.
