Patrick, I'd tried doing --unmerge kdelibs and rebuilding but it didn't
work.  I'd given up, thinking it was something I'd messed up by installing
wrong versions myself, so I deleted everything to start all over again with
just a clean emerge kdebase-apps.  It's been compiling all day and it has
just failed with a new error building qca:
