Hey, 

I think Xen might also be a good option? That uses folders on the root drive. So maybe we can then use a samba share for the svn checkout. That saves space already. 

Win licenses might be bad. But one Pro license can run on unlimited virtual machines on the same machine in the Win7 EULA.
