new emerge functionality?

I tried this on a clean winxp vmware image - but used the installer 
instead emerge - and it works fine.

Can you take a look if it works fine when you install kdelibs (and all 
it's deps) with the kdewin-installer? The run kbuildsycoca from the 
command line.
