OK, I can't view the diff, but I can't download it.

As I said earlier, you shouldn't add the translations yourself, as KDE's translation infrastructure will automatically process changes to the .desktop file and add back translations when they are actually made. So it's actually a one-liner :)

Can you update the patch? I think it should be OK, but we'll only be able to merge it after 4.8 is branched, as this patch introduces new strings.
