Newbie - want to contribute

Hello Sir,

I'm interested to contribute to Telepathy.
I tried to build and install it, but there are a lot of components in it
that
confuse me.

I have previously contributed to Okular, & now I want to start with
Telepathy.
I have joined the IRC channel, but I thought it would be nice to throw a
mail
first about get started.

Please help me get started.
