The ~/.cache/dconf situation

Hey all,

we get lots of reports from people not being able to connect with "network
error" and usually just creating the ~/.cache/dconf dir is enough to be
able to connect again. I was about to report bug upstream, but suddenly I'm
not able to reproduce it anymore. I remove the dir, connect, and the dir is
back (this is tp-gabble 0.13.7 and kde 4.8/master), so I can't reproduce it
anymore.

Can anyone 100% reproduce this "network error", debug it and report it
upstream/fix it?
