Hi and welcome to the kde-tp mailing list.
I saw your comment on my blog and I liked your idea. Your idea for setting presences is quite nice 
in fact and I'm thinking about implementing it. But my fear is the following: more options you give 
to the users, the more they complain. 
Let's take a look at "empathy" (our sworn enemy :P) for example. I tried it today on a virtual 
machine with ubuntu 11.04. They're like windows/mac way of thinking: "give the user few options and 
that's it".
I'm usualy contrary to this way of thinking because I think the user should have the right to do as 
many things as possible with a program but their method works. Users have only the global presence 
setting for the chat accounts.
This way they keep things simple for themselves (devs) and don't delude too many people. So I might 
be considering this option.
