It's a personal preference. I like to be the one in control of what my system does. I want it to
connect when I say so and not when the app feels like to. And at the actual state we need the
presence applet to see if we're connected or not. ( I have that so atm it's no biggie ).
Though the presence applet would be a great plus to the project as you said.
