            Bug ID: 343749
Summary: No KTP Status Icon under Plasma 5.2
           Product: telepathy
           Version: 0.9.0
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: presence-applet
          Assignee: kde-telepathy-bugs at kde.org
          Reporter: craig.finnegan at gmail.com

After switching to Plasma 5.2 on Arch Linux (latest) realized there is no way
to tell when Telepathy is running as the IM Status Icon is no longer available
in the Plasma 5 systray probably due to the changes in that regard, however
even with libappindicator and sni-qt lib32-sni-qt unfortunately still does not
display as I don't believe those libs are utilized in Telepathy unfortunately.
Any upcoming update to either add utilization of those libs to the current
telepathy or add a new package for Plasma5 (similar to
telepathy-kde-desktop-applets I believe which handles that? [but has dependency
on old KDE4). Thanks and can't wait to see Plasma 5 continue to solidify as
with Telepathy which I have come to love!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open IM Contacts or other Telepathy element on Plasma 5.x

Actual Results:
No Status Icon in Tray

Expected Results:
Status Icon in Tray to determine when it's running and its status

I understand Plasma 5.2 is still being developed as are the applications which
are rallying to provide support and therefore understand this may be yet to
come/still in development so no problem there, I just could not find a similar
report in the system so I submitted here, hopefully it's coming soon!

Additionally, I read a post on one of your developers blogs from back in
July-August I believe which mentioned Plasma5 support was in development during
a sprint a while back and was almost there, if I'm missing a package or
otherwise to resolve just let me know, thanks!
