Thanks for the report.

It's not as simple as "purple sends files, Telepathy must too". There's a layer
on top of purple, called Telepathy Haze (a "connection manager"), which sits
between our client and purple. Simply speaking, if this layer does not
implement filetransfers or implements it wrongly, it does not work.

It may of course be bugs in our code on top of all that, but I'd suggest to
file bugs in sending files with purple backend upstream at
http://bugs.freedesktop.org - product telepathy - component haze.
