Let me preface my comments by saying that this discussion isn't very productive, and I think the incessant arguing should stop.
Solaris 7 and above on a 64bit kernel can use swap partitions greater than 2GB. For example:
dev-null:{bretta}$ cat swap-l.out
swapfile dev swaplo blocks free
/dev/md/dsk/d2 85,2 16 62887728 62887728
dev-null:{bretta}$ cat swap-s.out
total: 17919928k bytes allocated + 218824k reserved = 18138752k used, 33329144k available
Also, here's a document on SunSolve.
http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-9-76856-1&searchclause=swap%20size%20limit
(Although this document isn't 100% clear, it does say that Solaris 2.6 and 32 bit kernels can only use a 2GB swap file or partition.)
