Thank you Rainald, I think a lot of people will benefit from your work...
NIS is a fairly common technology after all. By the way, your packages and
documentation are perfect, I got the new KDE running (as root) very quickly
as compared to KDE 3.0.x. I especially like the list of required libraries,
when I built KDE 3.0.x it wasn't obvious to me what was required for KDE but
your list makes it very clear.

Sorry, it seems like I misinterpreted the bug:

a little bit.
As I told, kdm/backend/client.c looks fine in kdebase, _but_:
indeed, in kdelibs the function getdomainname is in and the define isn't
set.
I will define it and recompile the kdelibs package.
Hopefully it will be avaiable in the next days.
