Hi GSoC students,

I'm sure that you students are aware of the deadline, the 21st. This
used to be called "pencils down" but I want you to think of this as
the beginning of your next phase of contributions to KDE and our
codebase.

We want you to stay involved, and support your own code, naturally. By
this we mean improving the code, documentation, unit testing coverage,
and dealing with bug reports. In addition, you may be able to help the
rest of the team merge your code. You certainly should be involved in
reviewing your team-mates code, just as they do yours.

We also want you to mentor high school students in November through
January for the Google Code-in contest. Right now, as you realize some
small improvements in your project which could be done in a few days
by youngsters, make some notes of those. GCi is made up of small tasks
such as this. We'll keep you up-to-date as GCi dates are officially
announced. GSoC students make fantastic mentors!

Now is the time to tidy up your documentation, and check your unit
test code coverage. Be sure to stay in close touch with your mentors
and the rest of your team during this final 9 days. Of course we
admins are always available to you if you need one of us. As usual,
write to kde-soc-management at kde.org.

All the best,

Valorie, for KDE Student Programs admins
