Heya folks :)
If you didn't have a chance to get into GSoC then Summer of Code in
Space with KDE might be an option for you. Applications can be sent in
now and both Marble and KStars are taking part.
Cheers
Lydia

Hi,
as a former GSoC student I wanted to briefly mention a program
inspired by GSoc, the ESA Summer of Code in Space.
Maybe some of you (students) did not get accepted to GSoC, as projects
always have to make a choice, or did not apply back then due to time
constraints.
However, ESA SOCIS application period is later than GSoC, in fact it
is happening right now!
For more details, see:
Homepage -- http://sophia.estec.esa.int/socis2013/?q=about
Mentoring organizations -- http://sophia.estec.esa.int/socis2013/?q=node/13
Deadline is August 4. Maybe it is a second chance?
Keep on hacking and thanks to both Google and ESA for their awesome programs!
Johannes
p.s.: I am not affiliated with ESA, but my project Gerbil is taking
part in SOCIS.
