That was meant as a side-comment. It shouldn't really be the main matter of 
your project (but if you have the leisure and the time to work in that too, 
of course, nobody will stop you from it ;-) ).

If you use an inst-apps file, kdevelop should only use those subdirs and be a 
bitter less resource-intensive... BTW, I'm also using kdevelop on my 512MB 
laptop with all of kdepim, and I also really feel the impact that kdevelop 
has on the whole system (190MB of VmData!!!!). If you have amarok running 
along kdevelop and you start compiling, the desktop will be quite 
unresponsive).
