That was the original email for this list. It has been almost two years now, 
with some high traffic periods and mostly low periods.

Now it's time to start packing up.

This mailing list was created with one purpose: to move the discussion on 
which SCM and how to get there out of the main mailing lists. But we have to 
post to a wider audience the plan to get the approval.

So, what's the plan? What are the steps between now and "we're working on Git" 
?

Main decision points:
 a) we're moving to Git
 b) we're using an external hosting (Gitorious)
   (or not)
 
Can someone start crafting a migration plan to post to the wider audience? 
Wiki is good.
