Thanks for all the advices. I was indeed hoping for a point and click solution ;)  Like the way Excel and 
Open/LibreOffice use to do figures - select your columns and create a barplot (or something else). It 
seems, however, that there is no really good "shortcut" program, which is easy to use and produces high 
quality output. I didn't find the time so far to compile and look into cirkuit but it seems to be really 
powerful, once you understand how to use it.
