Missing configurability in KDE4

Which options exactly are you missing? Also, what makes you think an upgrade 
should have more options than a downgrade, even if those options are hardly 
used and / or cluttering the UI?

Easier for who? Can you support this with data?

What are the real issues here. Please try to state exactly what it does, and 
what should be different. You can use bugs.kde.org to file those items (as 
wishlist where applicable). Please do check for duplicates before you do so, 
others might have come to the same conclusions before you. As ist stands. 
your complaints / suggestions are too vague to be useful.

Configurability of the panel is being addressed. As Plasma is a new component, 
some patience is need until it reaches maturity and goes beyond that.
