You would have to provide more detail about the errors; don't forget that the 
tutorials might be quite dated (like KDE 3.2) while you're working with KDE 
3.5 (probably).

kde-devel at kde.org is one place to ask development questions, but that is *not* 
the place for learning C++ or asking about the KDevelop UI. It is the right 
place if you're looking for some specific functionality or your build process 
is failing strangely. There are lots of IRC channels for KDE, #kde on 
irc.kde.org is probably a good start -- but again, not for learning C++, but 
probably a better place than the mailing list for help with getting the hang 
of KDevelop.

Take a look at techbase.kde.org, that's the new and updated collection of 
documentation and tutorials.
