Is KDE really usable?

concerning the Kontact crashes, maybe the fix by Andreas Kling for Kmail (see 
commit digest: http://commit-digest.org/issues/2006-10-22/) might help a bit. 
but for most others, i think if a good bugreport (preferably with fix) 
doesn't help, try to find someone who can write C++/Qt and ask (pay) him/her 
to fix it... :D

well, that's sure an issue, but also one hard to fix. Gnome went the 'easy' 
way by just removing stuff, but that is not acceptable for most of KDE's 
community. so KDE needs to spend a lot more thought on usability. let's hope 
the HIG for KDE 4 will help a bit.

esp new proposals are very usefull. if you see a usability problem, and have a 
clear and good solution to it, report it. those are much more usefull that 
the 'konqueror has too many options' kind of reports...
