This should be the proposal of KDE in the future: avoid the need of the 
distributions of adding their own "Control Center". I don't know Mandriva, 
but if they add a "Mandriva Control Center" maybe because the "KDE Control 
Center" is not enough, that is true today.

If a good and complete "KDE Control Center" exists, each distribution should 
change only the "Install Software" module inside the "KDE Control 
Center" (for Debian, Mandriva...) and modify some code because the different 
locations of each distro (/etc directories and files, for example).
