I'm don't jabber, we mostly irc around here.

http://l10n.kde.org/docs/gettingstarted.php  will help you get started.

Phil Rodrigues is really the guy you should talk to.  I'm sure he'll jump in soon  ;>

Since KDE 3.5.x is in a semi-freeze for new documentation, you really need
to work on the SVN trunk.  So you'll want to checkout  trunk/KDE/kdepim.
The akregator docbook is in trunk/KDE/kdepim/docs/akregator.

You probably want to get onto #akregator on irc.kde.org
and introduce yourself and ask for help and input on the akregator doc.
