Question about LD_LIBRARY_PATH

The latter is correct, bin/lib is a typo. 

I doubt setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH is necessary at all. It should work without it 
as well. At least it does work for me (tm) (using non-standard prefixes like 
KDEDIR=/opt/kde-head). I never analyzed that, but it seems KDE manages its 
linker paths automatically.
