Right, and you have support from the HIG:

New configuration code will make most configuration dialogs bearable on 
"small" screens by wrapping them in QScrollView. Other than that, there's 
just two things to do, as Binner said:

1. Submit patches. 

2. File bug reports on misbehaving apps, and pressure developers.
